PRESSURE REGULATORS
TRAC STYLE 'H' WATER/ SEAWATER PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE The TRAC Style ‘H’ pressure reducing valve is a self-contained, spring loaded, direct operated device for regulating and reducing high pressure water to any desired operating pressure within its adjustable range. The design, construction, and materials utilized for the TRAC Style ‘H’ pressure reducing valve are ideally suited for shipboard seawater systems service. The Style ‘H’ pressure reducing valve is available in two variations: Type I and Type II. If no valve type is specified on an order, or if the purchaser has no preference, Type II will be provided. TRAC Style ‘H’ pressure reducing valves may also incorporate a choke feature on the main valve element to limit capacity in the event of a diaphragm failure, if specified in the ordering data. It is generally not necessary or recommended to incorporate a choke feature. It should be understood by the end user that limiting or choking the flow of a standard pressure reducing valve will increase the likelihood of damaging cavitation across the valve seat and may result in accelerated erosion of valve trim in seawater service. The TRAC Style ‘H’ pressure reducing valve is manufactured in accordance with the following military and commercial specifications (Departures from the military specification valve are available- these modifications include but are not limited to changes in body material, trim material, end connections, and rated pressure): For more information on the TRAC Style ‘H’ product line: For detailed maintenance instructions for the TRAC Style ‘H’ product line: For detailed maintenance instructions for Navy shipboard installations: The TRAC Style ‘H’ pressure reducing valve is a direct replacement (regarding fit and function) for the following manufacturer’s designations (MIL-V-2042D and later specifications):
TRAC STYLE 'HA' AIR OR NITROGEN PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE The TRAC Style ‘HA’ pressure reducing valve is a s self-contained, spring loaded, direct operated device for regulating and reducing high pressure air or nitrogen to any desired operating pressure within its adjustable range. The design, construction, and materials utilized for the TRAC Style ‘HA’ pressure reducing valve are ideally suited for shipboard air or nitrogen system services. The TRAC Style ‘HA’ pressure reducing valve is intended for installation in air or nitrogen systems where the inlet pressure to the valve is 150 psig (or below) and it is required to maintain a constant (within the accuracy limits specified) lower pressure downstream of the valve. The valve maintains this constant delivered pressure during flow and supply pressure variations by automatically throttling (or shutting off flow) as necessary based on feedback of the downstream pressure. The TRAC Style ‘HA’ pressure reducing valve is manufactured in accordance with the following military specification: For more information on the TRAC Style ‘HA’ product line: For detailed maintenance instructions for the TRAC Style ‘HA’ product line: For detailed maintenance instructions for Navy shipboard installations: For air or nitrogen service applications having an inlet pressure rating higher than 150 psig, consider the TRAC Style ‘HG’ gas pressure reducing valve. This valve is manufactured in accordance with MIL-V-2961D Type I, Class 1, Body A and is suitable for shipboard systems intended to regulate air, nitrogen and other gasses. The TRAC Style ‘HG’ gas pressure reducing valve is available with a 400 psig and 600 psig pressure rating. For air or nitrogen service applications requiring a pilot operated pressure reducing valve, consider the TRAC Style ‘RA’ pressure reducing valve. This valve is manufactured in accordance with MIL-V-24384B Type I, Class C, Design B and is suitable for shipboard systems intended to regulate air with tighter droop characteristics than self-contained, spring loaded, direct operated pressure reducing valves.
TRAC STYLE 'HG' AIR OR NITROGEN PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE The TRAC Style ‘HG’ pressure reducing valve is a self-contained, spring loaded, direct operated device for regulating and reducing high pressure air or nitrogen to any desired operating pressure within its adjustable range. The valve maintains constant delivered pressure during flow and supply pressure variations by automatically throttling (or shutting off flow) as necessary based on feedback of the downstream pressure. The Style ‘HG’ pressure reducing valve is intended for installation in shipboard air or nitrogen systems where the Style ‘HA’ may be considered unsuitable (the required rated pressure of the valve is over 150 psig and/or the required end connections are other than MIL-F-1183).
